Internship Opportunities

DEQ’s Internship Program provides professional level work experience for college students and is one of the key initiatives in the agency’s commitment to expand and enhance equal opportunity efforts.

Eligibility: 

Enrolled as an undergraduate junior, senior or in a graduate program in an accredited institution.

  • Citizen or national of the U.S., a Lawful Permanent Resident or an alien authorized to work. The Commonwealth does not provide sponsorship. 
  • Pass a criminal background check. 

Volunteer Program 

DEQ’s Volunteer Program provides professional level work experience for anyone interested in pursuing a career in either environmental science or state government. 

Why Volunteer at DEQ?

  • Volunteer assignments provide real work experience within a variety of disciplines and geographic areas.
